Heroes and Our History

Yesterday was the Birthday of one monumentally gifted black woman. Her name is Sister Lupita Nyong'o. When you think about an actress who uses social activism and comprehensive words about the aspects of life, you think of her. She taught us about many things pertaining to wisdom and she is now 35 years old. She was born in Mexico City, Mexico to Kenyan parents. She is not only beautiful with her dark skin complexion as Black is Beautiful. She has proclaimed many lessons about life that we believe in completely. She spoke out against the evil of colorism and how colorism has psychologically damaged so many of our people. Additionally, Lupita Nyong'o has accurately described beauty as being found in the human soul and beauty precisely consisting with compassion, self-acceptance, and honest expression that blesses oneself plus the world around us. Therefore, we are in awe of her grace, her intellectual prowess, and her definitive talent as an actress, a producer, a director, and a scholar of life. She graduated from Hampshire College and Yale University. Her films have importance from 12 Years a Slave to the new blockbuster of Black Panther (which has caused discussions and motivated a new generation of people to further love the beauty of the African continent and the people who live there too. We love Africa with all of our hearts as I am a person who is an African American. I love my Blackness too as I am black and comely). She produced and directed the film In My Genes as well. She is multilingual as she is fluent in English, Spanish, Swahili, and Luo. Lupita has helped countless women, especially black women in so many endeavors. Animal conservation and women rights are part of her legitimate advocacy. Queen of Katwe is one of her great films also. Today, we celebrate her birthday. She has a great light and we appreciate the bold sacrifice, the eloquent words, and the persistent inspiration that she has brought out to enhance our consciousness.
I wish Sister Lupita Nyong'o more Blessings.

Fake liberalism is only asking for token reforms that do nothing to avert the problems of the system. True progressivism is about fighting the international corporate power structure in the 1% (which executes capitalism as a means to exploit the workers and the poor of the world regardless of nationality or color) to be held accountable for its crimes and to make sure that economic plus political power is redistributed fairly to the masses of the people. In essence, our goal for social liberation is real and honorable. The authoritarian, extreme nationalism of Putin is not an excuse to omit the extremism of neoliberals and neoconservativism. In other words, we have to fight the imperialist Western empire and the corrupt policies from both neoliberals and neoconservatives (along with criticizing many of Putin's reactionary policies at the same time). Rodrigo Duterte of the Philippines wants to cede power early and Netanyahu could be charged on corruption charges. These 2 corrupt people deserve justice and no coddling. There is news about Hope Hicks (who admitted that she told white lies as it relates to the President. She was the White House Communication Director) resigning. Also, Mueller is interviewing witnesses and he wants to find out what Trump knew and when. We all know that the situation of this investigation is not just about Kushner, or Donald Jr. This is about Trump too. Election fraud is a federal crime. Scandals exist throughout the Trump administration (which is the most bizarre administration in my lifetime).

There is certainly one intrepid hero who I greatly admire. Her name is Allyson Felix. Sister Allyson Felix is a great young, courageous luminary. She is a true role model and one of the greatest track and field athletes in history. Now, she continues to give back to the Crenshaw YMCA where she played basketball as a young person many years ago. She has recently helped young children created balloon propelled vehicles as a science experiment (in relation to advance STEM fields to the youth). The Y back then and today not only promote after school programs and important help to families. It provides STEM related programs for kids, college readiness services, diabetes assistance strategies, and mentorships for the kids. The same inspiration and blessings that the Y gave onto Allyson Felix forthrightly has assisted countless children plus adults (in the great city of Los Angeles and throughout the world). Allyson Felix has a legendary track career with six gold medals and nine total medals from the Summer Olympic Games. She wants to continue to be part of the 2020 Summer Olympics in Tokyo, Japan. We all wish her much success in her endeavors. She has more Olympic gold medals than any other woman track and field athlete. She is tied with Sister Marlene Ottey with the most medals of any Olympic woman track and field athlete too. Allyson Felix is the most decorated athlete of the IAAF world championship history with 16 career medals. The hard work, the philanthropy, and the awe inspiring gracious spirit of Sister Allyson Felix motivates us all to advocate for justice among the human race.

The end of February doesn't signify the end of Black History. Black people have made history during the past, the present, and will continue to do during the future as well. We are always reminded of the sacrifice of our ancestors and the long work ahead of us in order for our community to have freedom and justice. Today, we live in the new era near 2020. A lot of decades have gone back since the passing of the late, great Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. After nearly 50 years since that time, we have a long way to go, but we still rise. We all know precise what he and others stood for too. He stood for civil rights, voting rights, and an end to militarism. Therefore, we must continue to stand up for those awe inspiring principles too. The terrorism found in the mass incarceration state, police brutality, poverty, and violations to democratic rights must be eradicated completely. While many communities are falsely scapegoated and unjustly criminalized by the oligarchy, we must conversely show empathy and compassion to our poorer Brothers and Sisters. We are adamantly opposed to the violations of the rights of black people, women, immigrants, and other minorities.

While the Pentagon and the rest of the military industrial complex provoke wars and tensions in the Middle East, the Central Asian region, the Korean peninsula (when that current occupant in the White House threatened nuclear weapons usage against North Korea), Africa, and other areas, we are steadfast in our conviction that peaceful coexistence is much better than mutual annihilation. From our ancestors being brought into the Americas in chains, to the slavery in this nation, and the peonage system, the tyranny of injustice continues in our world right now. Regardless of one's skin color or background, all human beings have the inalienable right of life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness. Therefore, we are committed to the cause to educate, to inspire, and to fight for solutions for our people. We are inspired by Nkrumah, DuBois, Malcolm X, Ella Baker, Fred Hampton, Dr. King (who questioned capitalism in his writings and his speeches during his life), and other revolutionaries. Racism and class oppression must be gone period. We are in solidarity internationally too with those who want a world free from oppression and really filled with justice. Justice for all is forever our motto.
