Friday news in late September 2012

It's a fact that GMOs are dangerous. There is a new study. It was conducted by French scientists. It was proven that rats who fed on Monsanto's genetically modified corn suffered cancer and premature death. As you would expect, GMO apologists are coming out of the woodwork to cast doubt on the study. They want to discredit its findings. Now, the study allowed 50 percent of male and 70 percent of female rats fed on a diety having NK603 (or a gentically modified corn produced by Monsanto. Monsanto is famous for its Roundup weedkiller) suffered tumors and multiple organ damage. This caused the rates to die prematurely. French scientists from the University of Caen conducted the study. The results of the study are found in the journal called, "Food and Chemical Toxicology." The findings were publicly made known at a press conference in London. Soon, other scientists rushed to Monsanto's defense and claimed that the study was inaccurate. Tom Sanders is the head of the nutritional sciences research division at King's College London. He claimed that the rats studied were prone to mammary tumors when food intake is not restricts. He said that the statistical methods are unconventional and the authors of it went for a statistical fishing trip. However, the statistical methods are perfectly straightforward. Only 30 percent of males and 20 percent of females in the control group of rats that were not exposed to Monsanto’s products died prematurely – meaning males were 30 per cent more likely to die prematurely after eating Monsanto corn and females a whopping 50 per cent more likely to die. Sanders’ point about that particular breed of rat being prone to tumors treats the study as if it was conducted without using a control group of rats as a comparison, which is completely untrue. David Spiegelhalter is from the University of Cambridge. He claimed that the study has an untreated control arm made up of only 10 rats of each sex, most of which got tumors in his mind. Yet, his views ignore the fact that the rats whether they developed tumors or not were statistically far more likely to die prematurely if they were exposed to Monsanto products. The figures don't lie and that's the crux of the matter. Monsanto still points to other studies as a justification to promote GMO foods. Yet, all of those studies didn't go beyond the 90 day reporting period. See, the Caen study which tracked the health of the rats throughout their life span. It was only after four months that the tumors and organ damage suffered by the rats became evident. Monsanto is heavily unpopular in Europe. Their products in Europe have been heavily kicked out of the European marketplace. Ironically, some Monsanto-funded experts still try to promote GMO foods. In America, Monsanto and other GMO corporations have spent over 19 million dollars in an attempt to shoot down Proposition 37. Proposition 37 was the California bill that asks to require genetically modified foods and food ingredients to be labeled at the retail level. If GMO food supplies were safe, then why GMO producers (like Monsanto, DuPont, Bayer, Dow, BASF, and Syngeta) spent so much money to prevent the public from knowing about the compositions of their food supplies. Even health expert Mike Adams exposed the fact that GMO can cause huge environmental problems. “The era of GMO deception is history. A food revolution is upon us. And if governments will not halt the mass poisoning of our world by evil corporations, I have no doubt that the People will, by themselves, eventually invoke other necessary methods of halting this great evil,” he writes. In the final analysis, we should oppose this GMO agenda completely. We've made some process in the 21st century and we have a long journey ahead of us in this food/health revolution.

Ellen Brown made an interesting argument about QE3. She feels that the recent QEQ3 policy (in September 13, 2012) from the Federal Reserve will not jump start the economy because of numerous reasons. We all need aggregate demand that relates to new spending in the pockets of consumers. She feels that the QE3 policy won't even cause hyperinflation. She feels that the quantitative easing policy will only go into bank reserve accounts. Banks can't lend their reserves. The FED wants to buy mortgage backed securities (or MBS) from the banks, but even the Washington Post said that this policy will not much help homeowners either. The FED wants to buy 40 billion dollars in MBS every month for an indefinite period. The FED theoretically can create money from nothing and pay for its purchases by crediting the reserve accounts of the banks from which it buys them. Money will be circulated, but the banks will get the dollars and the FED will get the MBS. The dollars are held in the banks' reserve accounts at the FED. The banks aren't allowed to lend this money. Reserves are there for settlement of accounts between banks, and for the government’s interface with the private banking sector, but not for lending money. The QE1 increase the monetary base or money created by the FED plus the government. Yet, the M2 or circulating money supply hasn't increased fast and loans have gone down. Quantitative easing may improve the stock market, but its effects on the economy are temporary not comprehensive. QE1 and QE2 failed, because they didn't radically reduce unemployment, and the overall price level didn't go up. The rate of price inflation has been lower after QE before the program started. The FED is doing this policy in order for them to help the housing marketing situation. The Fed is buying mortgage-backed bonds, the purchases act to directly lower the cost of borrowing to buy a home. In addition, some investors, put off by the rising price of the bonds that the Fed is buying, turn to other assets, like corporate bonds – which, in turn, pushes up corporate bond prices and lowers those yields, making it cheaper for companies to borrow – and spend. Economic populists like Ellen Brown do want an injection of money into the economy, but without QE3. They want very low interest loans to be given directly into banks, state and municipal governments, to students, and to homeowners. Even Nobel Prize winning economist Paul Krugman said that the third round of the Federal Reserve asset purchases may be too small of a stimulus when dealing with a struggling U.S. economy.

1944 was one of the most important years in World War II. 1944 was when all of the Axis Powers (even in Japan were weaken slowly, but surely militarily). Soviet Union troops came into Poland to fight the Nazis in January 6, 1944. The Allies start to attack in Cassino Italy and the Allies land in Anzio Italy in January of 1944 as well. The battle of Leningrad finally comes to a close by the end of January too. When the Allies bomb the monastery at Monte Cassino, the Germans counter attacked against the Anzio beachhead in February of 1944. The Soviets continues to use an offensive in Eastern Europe like in Belorussian territory. The Allies first used a major daylight bombing raid in Berlin by March 4, 1944. Another allied attempt to capture Monte Cassino comes about in March 15, 1944. Hamburg was bombed via an air raid via the British. About 3,000 bombs were dropped in Hamburg, Germany in March 18, 1944. Crimea is attacked by the Soviets in trying to liberate it by April. The Soviet troops soon recapture Sevastopol in May of 1944. South of Rome in the Gustav is attacked by the Allies in the same month. By mid month May, the Germans surrender in the Crimea. The German withdraw to the Adolf Hitler line. By the end of May, the Allies come into Rome finally. People realize about D-Day in June 6, 1944. A lot of Americans grandparents and great-grandparents were involved in the military landing of the northern coast of France. Even Ronald Reagan gave an eloquent speech about the sacrifice, bravery, and courage of the soldiers during the event of D-Day. The action was Operation Neptune and Normandy experienced multiple landings by the Allied forces. There were about 24,000 thousands of soldiers from America, the UK, Canada, Free France, Poland, Norway, Australia, New Zealand, the Netherlands, and Belgium that either were apart of or supported the invasion. Troops came into France and then there was an amphibious landing too. The major amphibious landing came about in 6:30 am. The Allies use decoy operations in other parts of France in order to distract Hitler from the real invasion at Normandy. Supreme Commander of the Allied Expeditionary Forces was General Dwight Eisenhower while overall command of ground forces (21st Army Group) was given to General Bernard Montgomery. The operation, planned by a team under Lieutenant-General Frederick Morgan, was the largest amphibious invasion in world history and was executed by land, sea, and air elements under direct British command. There were several beaches like Utah Beach, Omaha Beach, etc. that the Allied forces landed in order to attack the Axis. Days later, the Soviets fought in the Finnish front. The Nazis become desperate, so they liquidate the town of Ordaour-su-Glane in France and they attack Britain with their first V-1 rocket attack in June 13, 1944. Then Russia continues to execute their Summer offensive called Operation Bargration. America liberates Cherbourg, France by the end of June. The Soviets get Minsk. British and Canadian troops capture Caen, France. Even German Army officers try to assassinate Hitler, but it fails in July 20, 1944. The summer of 1944 caused more interesting development in World War Two. The Soviets continue to liberate human beings in Brest-Litovsk, and the concentration camp at Majdanek. The Warsaw rebellion occurred in Poland at August 1, 1944. This was when Jewish people and others used weapons to resist Nazi occupation. They were defeated, but they fought for their own liberation. Americans reach Avranches and Germans start a massive counter attack toward the same location. Anne Frank and his family were arrested by the Gestapo in Amsterdam, Holland by August 4, 1944. Paris starts another rebellion by the resistance and the liberation of Paris comes finally by August 25, 1944. The Soviets take Bucharest and the Allies liberate Brussels, Antwerp, Verdun, Dieppe, Artois, Rouen, and Abbeville. U.S. troops begin to reach the Siegfried line in Western Geramny. When the Allies liberate Athens, Rommel commits suicide. The Nazis surrender in Aachen, Germany and the last use of the gas chambers came about at Auschwitz in October 30, 1944. The Waffen SS murder 81 U.S. POWs at Malmedy in December 17, 1944. From December 16-27. There was the Battle of the Bulge at Ardennes. Americans with other nations led the battle. General George S. Patton was involved heavily in the actions. The battle was the largest and bloodiest battle that the U.S. forces fought during WWII. The battle was never in doubt, but the German held a strong resistance in the town of Bastogne. Patton's reinforcements and air attacks ended the German offensive. The Nazis tried to promote more advanced weapons like jet aircraft, new U-boats, and super heavy tanks, but they were defeated. The total Battle of the Bulge lasted from December 16, 1944 to January 25, 1945.

Judge Dredd is a movie that relates to our time. The new movie describes a message. One message is if people give up their liberty for security, you only have tyranny in society. The movie outlines a dystrophic future situation. Judge Joseph Dredd is a vigilante like person. The story takes place in 2070. This world is the aftermath of a global conflict. The global conflict causes human beings to live in megacities in the realm of 800 million people. The megacities have huge skyscrapers that house human beings in cramped, crowded conditions. Some have point to Agenda 21 as related to this scenario. The reason is that the critiques of Agenda 21 believe that Agenda 21 wants to harm private property rights, force people to live into tight, compacted cities. The Judge Dredd movie shows that a police state could be the future. Today in real life, we have drones monitoring U.S. skies now. Some law enforcement agencies use drone with weapons on them tested in America. In the late 1970's when Judge Dredd debuted, Dredd is shown with a suit with a helmet using militarized guns. This was taboo in America. Today, police are constantly militarized with dark suits, weapons, sound weapons, and the whole nine yards in 2012. In Colorado Springs, a police officer can have a ballistic shield, helmet, and rifle. In the 2012 movie, Judge Dredd fires a specialized smart gun that can only be fired by a specific person. Today, we have researchers developing technology with 16 electronic computerized sensors embedded in the gun's grip that is distinguished known from unknown users. This relates to smart gun technology. Judges aren't police. Yet, political leaders promote unconstitutional policies without Congress to support their aims in our day. The film shows that a sophisticated police state is immoral and if we don't guard our liberties, then a police state similar to what is shown in the film could happen in our land. Judge Dredd throws a woman off a 200 story building. This type of justice isn't real justice, but a false deprived sense of mayhem. Even CBS's "Person of Interest" show outlines possibly a predictive programming for our technological age. The "Person of Interest" show is centered in Manhattan, New York. A genius created a device for the government that can monitor people all of the time in America. He tried to stop crime. A "digital cloud" is formed and he worked with a former CIA agent in trying to solve cases. In real life, the NSA spy center has technology that monitor people, email, and communications 24/7 365. The device that can monitor everybody on the show is called "The Machine." The Machine can have access to cell phone communications, emails, texts, public cameras, etc. This device can decipher human emotions as well and predict when a terrorist attack or crime may transpire. Finch (the computer genius) and Reese (the CIA agent/special forces soldier) rush in to find the potential victim and save them before the crime is committed. In real life, the NSA is building a Utah Data Center. This place will intercept, decipher, analyze, and store vast swaths of the world's communications. This place will be heavily fortified and won't be finished until September of 2013. This place will be like the Total Information awareness program where private emails and other forms of communications are monitored. Not only can the new NSA spy center track all electronic communications, the head of the CIA gave a speech explaining that even household appliances will be able to monitor their owners while they are home. Technology is being developed now to monitor human emotion and San Francisco has advanced cameras to detect illegal activity. The reality is that only God can see all people at all times and know the intentions of the hearts of all people. The technocratic world has been planned or predicted by Zbigniew Brzezinski (or the former National Security Adviser to President Jimmy Carter). Back in his 1970 book called "Between Two Ages: America's Role in the Technetronic Era," he predicted that technology will influence people in a more pronounced way. He was right since technology now is having surveillance among humanity in unheard of levels.

The truth always comes out. The goal is still the same. The goal is to make Africa united and unified along with the defeat of white supremacy completely. One of the greatest gens of our leaders is the knowledge of self. Daily, we should try to learn more about our people, Pan Africanism, our culture, our history, our music, and our black being in general. We have to study constantly and learn literature from Kwame Nkrumah's words, Malcolm X's words, Angela Davis' literature on the prison industrial complex, and a wide spectrum of information from our brothers & sisters. Studying our history and culture can increase black folks' self esteem and the knowledge of self. If you live in America, you are a black African living in America. You are African. I am an African. Also, we should always be politically conscious of our people. We can join independent organizations that promote progressive solutions for our people. We can rally on real issues ranging from anti-imperialism to fights against poverty. More and more sisters are going natural. That's a good and it represents the greatness of African beauty for beauty is diverse not monolithic.  African cultural diversity is one of the greatest parts of our people. I will never be ashamed of my black African identity. Now, we can present ourselves with dignity not as a means to appeal to the sensibilities of white people, but to honor our Creator, to honor our people, and to honor our ancestors. Natural beauty is always superior to skin bleaches, fake tans, and other acts that is part of the Eurocentric white supremacy playbook. So, I am black and I am beautiful. There are many benefits to melanin. Melanin is the primary determinant of skin color. It's found in the human skin, hair, the iris of the eye, and the stria vascularis of the inner ear. Humans with a darker skin produce more eumelanin (which is dark brown to black in color) and humans with lighter skin color produce more pheomelanin (which is yellow to red in color). Although, people regardless of skin color ought to have adequate vitamin D nutrients. So, even brothers and sisters should make sure that they receive an adequate amount of vitamin D. Now, it's a scientific fact that melanin in the eyes, in the iris, and choroid can help human beings to protect them from ultraviolet and high frequency visible light. Recent research by J.D. Simon et al. suggests that melanin may serve a protective role other than photo protection. Melanin is able to effectively ligate metal ions through its carboxylate and phenolic hydroxyl groups, in many cases much more efficiently than the powerful chelating ligand ethylenediaminetetraacetate (EDTA). Thus, it may serve to sequester potentially toxic metal ions, protecting the rest of the cell. This hypothesis is supported by the fact that the loss of neuromelanin observed in Parkinson's disease is accompanied by an increase in iron levels in the brain. According to Dr. Susan C. Taylor, people with more melanin decrease their risks of having skin cancer, especially basal and squamous cell skin cancers (including the fact that more melanin can reduce signs of aging). Melanin is not static since it's a substance that changes when it responds to stimuli.
